I visited the state of Querétaro, Mexico representing Project Brotherhood Society and spent time with a wonderful project for boys and girls who need a home, and I’m very happy to share my experience at Proyecto de Vida (Life Project) with you.

Arriving in the capital city of Querétaro, I was amazed at how modern it is.  There is a lot of industry here, including major Canadian companies like Bombardier.  However, as I was driven into the countryside near the town of Ezequiel Montes, the landscape took on a different look and feel.

We passed through a small village, the roads became much rougher, until we finally reached the donated ranch that has now become Proyecto de Vida (Life Project) for boys and girls who need a home because they have been mistreated by abuse or abandonment.

This place is big!  I’d like to begin this blog by taking you on a tour of the physical facility.

How and why was Proyecto de Vida started?  The best explanation comes from the founder, Eduardo, a lovely man whose beard and manner reminded me of a gentle Santa Claus.  When I interviewed him, his humility and his love for Proyecto de Vida brought tears to my eyes.  In this short video clip, Eduardo explains his motivation:
And with his faith in God as the driving force, Eduardo goes on to explain how it all began:

On the next page, there is more about the 29 boys and girls living here and also more about the wonderful staff members I met.
